Job Description

Product Manager-Agile-London-£60k-£80k (Energy/Telco industry knowledge preffered)The client is an international digital solutions specialist, combining elite and cutting-edge technologies to provide sophisticated, bespoke transformation solutions to the public and private sectors.Founded in 2008 as a joint venture with Cable and Wireless, they grown to be a leader in the digital solutions space. They use their extensive experience and proven track record in Business Transformation, Systems Integration and Software Development to deliver long-term, innovative solutions spanning telecoms, technology, media, education and finance.The Product Manager is responsible for achieving all product business goals, including: revenue, customer satisfaction, streamlined development and operationsThe role requires productive and efficient running of cross functional project teams, based on collaborative management and tools (such as Agile Scrum and custom intelligent dashboards)Lead the implementation of a new Ways of Working for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) spanning across various parallel running programmes and projects across various domains (e.g. Digital solutions for Telco versus Alpha commercial launch for an Energy sector centric solution).This includes both Aqoiva products and products that our customers have asked us to develop for them.

  • Deliver projects that provide exceptional business value to users
  • Deliver an intelligence (dashboard) solution for the above which should:
  • Qualify and quantify Ways of Working for optimal efficiency targets (frameworks such as TQM)
  • User and stakeholder satisfaction (e.g. Net Promoter Score)
  • Software development mgmt. (e.g. integrated metrics from tools such as Pluralsight Flow or SonarQube)
  • Measure and track conformance to the quality and security standard expected by our customers and clients, including compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO27001 and SOC2.
    • Through the above support a transformation in organisational culture from co-located to distributed working. They may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business stakeholders.A proven track record of successful product lifecycle for software or web development projects using Lean and Agile methodologies including:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams. PMP preferred
  • Successful realisation of user centric analytical and intelligence solutions (lead and hands-on concept to operations abilities)
  • Prior experience with Lean and Agile methodologies with enterprise level application development projects. PMI ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Data Scientists, Analysts, UX/UI and Developers
    • Balanced business/technical background:
  • Sufficiently technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
    • Skills Required
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS in a technical discipline is a plus
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
    • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
  • Agile Management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps Code Quality
  • Security and Compliance tools such as Sonar Qube and PluralSight Flow, Azure Policy and Azure Security Centre.
  • Understanding of security and compliance frameworks affecting product development and operations, especially GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC2.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
