Job Description

Through a business partnering approach you will drive procurement excellence across RNIB, achieving the optimisation of quality and pricing, whilst managing supply chain risk, meeting ethical guidelines and compliance requirements in full and be a category manager for certain areas of spend.Procurement Business Partner Responsibilities:• As a business partner you will be at the centre of RNIB’s leadership, you will drive the achievement of procurement objectives across the organisation, through challenge, support, training and enforcement of policies.• Lead colleagues and internal stakeholders to understand the dynamics of the supply chain and to recommend appropriate strategies for allocated procurement categories alongside performing category management for centrally managed, allocated procurement activities.• Promote and support the use of a structured supplier relationship management approach to all internal stakeholders and adopt the same approach for directly allocated centrally managed supplier accounts.• Support the Head of Procurement in formulation and delivery of procurement strategy, policy and procedures.• Design and deliver regular training sessions for colleagues to assist in the management of supply chain risk and ensure procurement excellence is promoted across the organisation.• Design and undertake effective regular reviews to monitor procurement excellence, using business partner relationships to drive required changes to practice and behaviours.• Working with Head of Procurement and IT colleagues, ensure systems and technology are established to support the delivery of procurement objectives, including analytics as part of supply chain management.• Harness excellent systems and technology to drive a self-service approach by colleagues with procurement accountabilities, ensuring the Procurement Team adds value rather.• Maintain a strong awareness of current and emerging procurement best practice, new legislation and Government guidelines and ensure that RNIB processes are updated accordingly.Procurement Business Partner Requirements:• Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Advanced Diploma (level 5) Certificated or, equivalent experience.• Experience of leading procurement activity in a large and complex organisation (at least £10m turnover), driving value for money, savings, regulatory compliance and ethicality.• Experience of developing colleagues to perform decentralised procurement activity effectively.• Experience of implementing systems and new processes to transform performance.• Experience of working in not for profit sector (Desirable).• Strong analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel.• Very strong negotiation and influencing skills.• Able to quickly build rapport and easily establish relationships with stakeholders at all levels.• Able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines whilst delivering to a high standard.• Proactive, enthusiastic and committed, ensuring delivery of objectives. Takes ownership to ensure delivery of objectives.
