Job Description

Principle Engineer - FinTech StartupSalary up to £120k + Bonus + BenefitsPrinciple Engineer - Driven by incredible growth, our market leading FinTech Start-up are looking for a Principle Engineer to work alongside our CTO to define long term strategy on Architecture, hiring and Delivery of new platforms. You will help build globally distributed systems for user friendly mobile and web applications that help process millions of pounds worth of car loans a day.Our Principle Engineer should have:

  • A strong technical background and expert knowledge across multiple tools including: React, JavaScript and Java.
  • Further technical ability and knowledge in Microservices development, Elasticsearch, PostgresSQL, Kubernetes/ Docker and continuous cloud deployment experience with AWS.
  • A strong picture of distributed systems and architecture/ system design.
  • Clear experience in mentoring, building and scaling engineering teams, hiring and a product first attitude.
    • You will be overseeing the Engineering team to deliver production grade machine learning at scale. The Principle Engineer will have the opportunity to mentor and train junior members of the organisation whilst leading by example with solid working practice and quality code using TDD.As a Principle Engineer, you will join a start-up leadership team motivated by their own personal improvement.
