Band 8b The Lighthouse Service ManagerAn exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the Lighthouse in the new role of Service Manager, to continue to lead and develop this unique multi-agency service. The postholder will operationally lead and manage the Lighthouse, a service in North Central London for Children and Young People who have experienced child sexual abuse. UCLH is the lead provider of the Lighthouse, working in partnership with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, NSPCC, Solace Women’s Aid, Camden Local Authority and the Metropolitan Police Service. The Service Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the seven multi-agency teams in the Lighthouse: advocacy, admin, CAMHS, health, NSPCC services, police liaison and social care liaison. This is initially a fixed term post or secondment until September 2021 in line with Lighthouse funding, but with a hope to extend to March 2022 when funding is confirmed (expected in December 2020).The Lighthouse provides a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse. All medical, advocacy, social care, police, and therapeutic support are delivered from one place. The aim is that children, young people and their families receive the justice, support and therapy in a timely manner meaning that they can move forward towards recovering from the abuse. Instead of putting a child through an adult-facing system, the Lighthouse focuses on meeting the needs of the child.Team building and support is a key value of the service, due to the potential impact on staff from the complex trauma the service users face. This new post has been developed as part of a refreshed operational structure following learning from the implementation of the service. If you have a professional background in social care, healthcare or the third sector, and operational management experience of a multi-agency service combined with a proven track record of delivering complex child safeguarding we would love to hear from you. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 4th January 2021.
