Job Description

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Manager to be our Interface Manager between our engineering managers and the client. You will act as a primary point of contact for Hub Managers, keeping all managers fully apprised on live engineering actions and issues. This role is the key to ensuring a growing partnership between the client and CBRE and will be a an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to make their mark on a key account.Job Role Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional control of all Electrical and Mechanical facilities / systems / works within the Laboratory Spaces to ensure the contractual responsibilities are exceeded.
  • To keep abreast of Engineering Developments and Technology advancements and how they could be implemented on your site.
  • Liaise with Hub Managers for access to scientific areas where engineering activities are to take place
  • Ensure that the Helpdesk team operate to an agreed set of processes and service delivery standards, to ensure that the client is kept fully apprised and updated with progress of reactive works on pro-active basis
  • Coordinator between Hub Managers and CBRE Engineering managers to deliver both PPM and reactive engineering work
  • Agree and effective PPM planner in collaboration with the Hub mangers for M&E Managers to deliver planned preventative maintenance activities within the lab spaces
  • Deputise for the BRF and Shift managers as directed by the Account Director.
  • Provide guidance and advice on contractors RAMS for none-routine works on site, as required.
  • To carryout assessment of Contractors competencies and RAMS, as required for completion of both PPM and additional works.
  • Identify potential technical improvements for existing plant and equipment maintenance to facilitate improved reliability and /or cost reduction with fully supported documentation
  • Development and review of site policies and procedures relating to the maintenance of installed plant and equipment ensuring that these are agreed with the BU Technical Manager and Divisional Technical Director/CAE before being implemented.
  • Hold monthly 1-1 meetings line reports and complete annual appraisals, implementing the agreed actions arising from the process.
  • Take ownership of performance management of both individual and team responsibility through a set of agreed KPIs and SLAs, agree corrective/improvement actions required and implant accordingly.
  • Identify and develop training plans specific to line reports and their respective duties and development.
  • Ensure all matters relating to Health and Safety legislative requirements are fully documented and understood by all site staff and subcontractors involved in the maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring that advise has been taken from the CBRE Managed Services QHSE Manager and BU Technical Manager.
  • Work with sub-contractors involved in plant and equipment maintenance to ensure highest possible standards of maintenance are achieved
  • Liaise with site and client management during any emergency operations or procedures; support the team with OOH attendance during emergencies (critical environment).
  • Assist client with resolution of technical matters arising from installed equipment or maintenance of this equipment taking advice from the BU Technical Manager, as required.
  • To ensure the Contract is kept as a show site standard and to facilitate site tours as required, demonstrating a good working knowledge of the site and systems
  • Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrable contract management experience in building services engineering.
  • Relevant experience managing direct line reports.
  • Relevant experience managing CAFM systems and SOP development.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualifications/experience, preferred.
  • A broad understanding of Building Management Systems; Fire Alarm Systems and General Building Services (Electrical; AC; Boilers; Water Systems; Chillers; Generators; UPSs, etc.)
  • Exhibit at all times an awareness of safety procedures and practices
  • Show diligence in safe working Methods both for CBRE Managed Services staff and occupants of the premises we are working in.
  • Impart knowledge and safety training to all members of staff as required
  • To be customer focused and well presented in order to provide the customer and clients an exemplary service; a good communicator.
  • Leadership qualities with experience at leading/managing teams and client interfacing.
  • Competent with IT - word/excel/CAFM systems and report writing skills.
