Job Description

Junior Devops EngineerLocation - W1T London Salary - £40,000 - £60,000TLDR: Junior Devops role for an entrepreneurial company who are leading the way in cloud security. You’re up to handling complex projects using high production standards. Strong SQL, Vertica, Mongo, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DS, Oracle and AWS. Experience with multiple database technologies. Opportunity to codeAs the Junior Devops Engineer you will have:

  • High production standards
  • Strong SQL skills ideally no SQL as well
  • Professional experience with Vertica, Mongo, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DS and Oracle
  • Cloud experience, ideally with AWS
  • A professional track record with at least two DB technologies
  • A 2.1 minimum degree in Computer Science or related subject
  • Exposure with Big Data and column-based data store technologies a bonus
    • As the Junior Devops Engineer you will be:
  • Owning core database clusters in Production as well as on a wide range of technologies
  • Reporting into the Operations Manager and working alongside the Senior DBA in an agile team
  • Focusing on scalability, integrity, performance, availability, security, monitoring and troubleshooting of core DB clusters
  • Exploring new ways of consolidating data sources and making more data available to more people
  • Supporting Dev Teams building new features
  • Given the opportunity to doing coding and get involved in how the DV is built and monitored using Terraform and Prometheus
