Job Description

IT Support Engineer (Edtech) - London - Up to £30,000Amazing opportunity for a talented IT Support Engineer to join an exciting, well-established Education Organisation based in London.You will be responsible for being at the forefront of the IT Support Team, providing efficient 1st Line IT Support. You will work side by side with the IT Manager and IT Co-ordinator Exec, implementing new infrastructure, as well as maintaining current solutions. You will also collaborate and implement solutions for digital and hybrid teaching.As an IT Support Engineer you will get stuck into the entire IT system, providing support across a multitude of areas, including Servers, Windows Deployment, Software, LMS, Security & More.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist users locally and remotely.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network related problems.
  • Assist in developing internal solutions to keep the user PC’s reliable at all times.
  • Keep hardware/software inventory updated.
  • Set-up lecture rooms with specific hardware on special requests.
  • Project collaboration at local level.
  • Digital learning - new implementations for digital and hybrid teaching.
  • Assist on the creation of tutorials for the digital technologies implemented.
  • Support Faculty on-site and remote for hybrid teaching and recording of online content.
  • Support LMS platform - Blackboard - troubleshooting and deployment.
  • Maintain/set-up on-demand AV and video conference facilities.
  • Person Specifications:
  • Windows 10 / MS office deployment, troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Comptia A+ or equivalent.
  • Experience in AV systems (troubleshooting and deploying) - experience in management of amplifiers, projectors and other AV kit - (Certification not required).
  • Networking - Basic knowledge - Comptia Network or equivalent.
  • LMS (Learning Management Systems) basic support knowledge - Moodle, Blackboard, and others.
  • Web page creation and development software (basic knowledge).
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Ability to construct and deliver concise reports.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
