These are what make us such a great team, working together as one to achieve our vision.The roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of IT Infrastructure Engineer based in Camden. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for designing, building, configuring, maintaining and developing One Housing’s IT Infrastructure; including but not limited to: servers (including virtual servers), routers, switches, data communication lines, operating systems, databases, storage systems, telephony and other types of systems utilised by One Housing.
  • The role is primarily project-based assisting as a project resource, implementing the various IT Infrastructure related projects which are assigned via the project management team. A large part of the role is to provide infrastructure support to all One Housing staff as required and ensure that the IT Infrastructure is secure, reliable and available to meet operational needs and to minimise disruption to staff during core working hours. Core systems and data are protected by current disaster recovery procedures and are routinely tested to ensure data is recoverable in the event of a disaster.What you will need to succeedWe are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and whodemonstrates a friendly, positive demeanour. The successful candidate will:
  • Design, build, configure, maintain and develop One Housing’s IT Infrastructure as directed by the IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Operations Director and Chief Information Officer
  • Pro-actively manage the network monitoring solutions and other manual based controls to ensure the network is operating as intended. Administer patch management, anti-virus and web filtering. Administer and maintain the VOIP telephony system. Assist with troubleshooting, systems backups and archiving carried out by the IT Service Desk. Perform complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, hardware and software. Act as an escalation point for 3rd line Support Analysts. Inform the IT management team of significant issues as appropriate. Understand the nature of One Housing and its strategic vision and aspirations and ensure that your work is always oriented towards supporting these. Provide first class communication in all forms, with proactive notification and feedback to users, customers and management. Use your initiative to create innovative solutions to new or existing requirements.
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to this post as deemed necessary by the IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Operations Director and Chief Information Officer

Able to manage time and priorities appropriately. Strong analytical troubleshooting skills. An aptitude for presenting technical information to non-technical staff.
