Job Title: Highly Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Adult Gender Identity ClinicGrade: AFC Band 8aLocation: Finchley Road, LondonThe Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health trust with a focus on training and education alongside a full range of mental health and Gender services.Within the Trust, the Tavistock and Portman ‘Charing Cross’ Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) is the largest and oldest of the 7 English GICs, dating back to 1966. It serves to diagnose and treat adults with gender dysphoria through a biopsychosocial care pathway, involving a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists, specialist nurses, speech and language therapists, and medical practitioners. The team members are lead clinicians, researchers and trainers in the field with an international reputation.The Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) in London is recruiting AFC Band 8a Highly Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist on a permanent contract. This is an exciting and emerging field of psychology.
