Head Of Engineering (Geospatial platform) - .Net - Angular - TypescriptLorien are pleased to be working with one of the worlds top five marketing agencies who have an exciting opportunity for someone to join their ward winning, multi-disciplinary IT team as an Engineering Lead overseeing on one of the most unique, greenfieldGIS platforms in the advertising industry.As head of Engineering you will be responsible for overseeing the general management of software teams delivering to specific project areas. You will have the chance to build your own team of developers and be responsible for their own development as youmentor them throughout their career.Some of the key responsibilities include:- Building an adequate team of developers and testers who will look to you as a mentor.- Implement and assist with recruitment for your team as you look to create an in house dev environment.- Liaise with other team leads across different business functions to deliver secure, reliable, robust, scalable code.- Implement software engineering best practices with your peers within Engineering, such as TDD /BDD, pair programming, clean code, CI /CD, pyramid testing within a Scrum agile delivery frame.- You will be responsible for the overall code quality by utilising testing and reviewing methods.Essential skills/experience required are as followed:- Experience leading small/medium tech teams- Proven commercial experience working on location intelligence projects or GIS platforms.- Experience in working in an agile. test driven development environment.- Commercial experience in the Azure cloud platform or a close equivalent.- Experience in working with .NEt Angular Typescript and NoSQLThis is a great opportunity to work for a globally recognised brand on some of the biggest greenfield projects the marketing world has to offer.
