The services offered through Tes.com play a critical role in helping teachers and school leaders deal with the challenges of providing high quality education to millions of children across the globe.Role overview:A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Leader to join the international Sales team at a time of significant growth.The GMs primary responsibility will be to manage the client relationships across the International business. Delivering excellence in service delivery and results that help International schools grow in productivity and pupil headcount. With a personal drive to go the extra mile to exceed client expectations, the General Manager will join a focused and dedicated team committed to illustrate the power Tes can bring to teaching and education.As General Manager you will hold responsibility for the sales revenue of the International school portfolio achieved through the coaching and leadership of a team of International Account Managers. With solid influencing skills, and a real sense of gravitas and authority, the GM will need a genuine commitment to developing their team, enabling them to be the best they can be, and ensuring business objectives and personal aspirations are exceeded.Key role responsibilities:

  • Key accountabilities/decision making and influence, responsible for the achievement of the solution sales goals
  • Manage the annual account sales planning to achieve International sales targets for new business
  • Oversee sales and marketing activities to achieve corporate revenue goals
  • Develop new sales techniques for business growth and profitability
  • Be able to bridge the continuum between selling and delivering consulting services, working with the Account Owner team.
  • Represent company brand in sales conferences and trade shows
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales & Marketing leaders to develop compelling propositions that can be used to drive sales and to define strategy to achieve sales targets
  • Lead, motivate and manage a new business sales team internationally.
  • Understanding of cultural differences, ability to build strong trusted relationships with team.
  • Oversee daily operations of the business unit or organization.
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business.
  • Coordinate the development of Key Performance Goals for functions and direct reports.
  • Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit.
  • Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the offerings to customers.
  • Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
  • Oversee key hiring and talent development programs.
  • Communicate strategy and results to the sales team.
  • Education and experience requirements:
  • Relevant Senior stakeholder experience in business development, consultative sales leader
  • Creative problem solver with true entrepreneurial flair
  • Articulate, tenacious and ambitious with high degree of personal integrity
  • Experience selling a SaaS platform or data analytics
  • Understanding of how business development can be applied appropriately across the International education sector
  • Demonstrable evidence of success in the International Sales arena
  • Excellent business judgement and an approach that creates trust
  • Passion for technology consulting and driving new business opportunities
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
