Job Description

Financial ControllerAn exciting company that are huge within the broadcast media industry are looking for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for implementing a robust framework to support rapid business growth and continuous improvement of the reporting tools andprocess. You will partner with cross-functional teams and business leaders on forecasting, target setting, strategic plans and will also develop KPIs for real-time monitoring of performance.Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the business cases and funding plans with appropriate tax and working capital treatment for new launch territories
  • Monitor and manage costs as well as support management in developing their growth plans and investment opportunities
  • Oversee and review the production of comprehensive monthly management information and key performance indicators
  • Manage and coordinate all financials for different territories along with disparate central costs including shareholder project costs
  • As initial business models are on a cash / funding basis, this role will set up and manage a full P&L with agreed global accounting policies on amortisation of content spend, capex / tech depreciation etc
  • Operationalise the business plans for shareholder budgeting and reporting e.g budgets in line with shareholder financial years
  • Treasury / fx exposure review and management - with shareholder support design and set up optimum treasury and fx management
  • Provide the Finance Director with detailed cost and revenue reporting and variance analysis for each month
  • Support the FD to develop opportunities for optimizing existing business processes
Key Experience
  • Must be qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA or equivalent with significant post qualified experience
  • Experience of Finance leadership in e leadership in start-ups / new businesses in early stage of growth
  • Experience of implementing new effective financial systems and processes or delivering change programmes
  • Experience or understanding of subscription businesses
