Job Description

Are you an experienced finance officer who likes to work as part of hands-on and high performing team Do you feel motivated by providing a high standard of customer serviceIf so, this opportunity could be for you! A dynamic and fast-paced international development charity, supporting the world’s most marginalised communities are seeking a reliable and personable finance officer. The finance officer will support the financial controller in all areas of income reporting and processing and manage the relationship with the donors.Responsibilities will include;

  • Processing donations onto the fundraising and finance system promptly and accurately
  • Ensuring good financial control by completing ban and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring the fundraising system is up to date with key donor information
  • Preparing and submitting Gift Aid forms quarterly
  • Keeping donors informed with accurately and timely information
  • Producing monthly reports on all donations
  • Covering for the finance officer (expenditure)
  • Person specification
  • Part-qualified CCAB accountant (desirable)
  • At least three years’ experience working in a busy accounts department
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English
