Data Science Manager (Data, Python, Science, Java, Database, Data Mining, SQL, MYSQL, MongoDB, Management) - Permanent - LondonCharles Simon Associates are currently looking to recruit for a Data Science Manager on a permanent basis for our prestigious global business based in Central London.Salary: Up to £80,000 per annumLocation: Central LondonSkills/Requirements for the Data Science Manager:- Strong Data Analytics and statistical skills- Experience of Data Mining- Experience with at least 1 of these programming languages: Python, Java, Scala- Previous experience of leading or managing a data science team- Skills in a number of data analytics and data science tools / infrastructure components:- Data Management tech like MongoDB, Apache Spark, Amazon Redshift- Relational Databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres- Modelling tools like Alteryx, RapidMiner, H2O.ai- Visualisation / Discovery tools like Tableau, QlikView, Plotly etc- Experience of data manipulation, cleansing and validationThe Data Science Manager will be responsible for:- Working alongside other members of the Professional Services, Sales and Service teams to understand the commercial questions which need answering - both from customers and internally- Designing analytical approaches (including developing hypotheses and formulating tests) to solve these questions- Developing project plans for data science / analytics work, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders inside and outside- Building an extensive knowledge of available data within the organisation and how this interrelates - as well as options to bring in data from third-party sources- Preparing data for analysis - validation, cleansing and transformation- Building and testing analytical models and workflows- Keeping all project stakeholders up to date on progress, issues and emerging findings- Presenting results in a clear, structured and succinct manner to both an analytical/technical audience, and to a broader business audience- Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team membersTo be considered, please send an up-to-date copy of your CV for this position.Data Science Manager (Data, Python, Science, Java, Database, Data Mining, SQL, MYSQL, MongoDB, Management) - Permanent - London
