These are what make us such a great team, working together as one to achieve our vision.The roleWe have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Data Protection & Compliance Analyst in Camden. Within the wider Governance and Compliance Directorate, the Data Protection Team sits within Corporate Compliance, Risk, and Assurance.This position plays a leading role in the Groups responses to data subject access requests, other data subject requests and in responding to breaches of personal dataWe are looking for someone who can engage positively with customers and stakeholders, maintain attention to detail for long periods, and balance competing priorities. We are also looking for someone who is eager and quick to learn, who thrives in a demandingenvironment and who wants to make a genuine difference to peoples lives.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being a recognised point of contact on all matters related to data protection, privacy and the Groups framework of data protection policies and procedures.
  • Administering data subject requests procedure, including maintaining the register of requests and associated documentation, liaising with the data subject and internal teams to ensure a timely and accurate response.
  • Managing the data breach notification procedure, as well as providing support and guidance to the Group in managing and investigating incidents involving personal data, maintaining the data breach register
  • Organize the data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) procedure, including providing advice and guidance to the Group, and maintaining the DPIA register and associated documentation.
  • Undertake appropriate research and develop advice and guidance to the Group on implementation of data protection legislation, policies and procedures and ongoing changes needed in the Group to comply with these.
  • Administer procedures for third party personal data processing and sharing arrangement, including maintaining the register, providing support and guidance to the Group on implementing the procedure and use of template agreements and clauses.
  • Plan, coordinate and develop regular, timely and relevant internal communications about data protection via appropriate internal communication channels.
  • Support the updating of policies and procedures to account for data protection regulatory or statutory changes, or to enhance usability and clarity for staff.
  • Maintain current knowledge and awareness of developments in data protection, and how these could impact on the Group. including updating policies and procedures.
What you will need to succeed
  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to work through complex scenarios and provide clear explanations.
