An exciting new opportunity has opened up in a leading multinational insurance company for an experienced Data Engineer to join on a 4-6 month contract. This is a full remote opportunity, outside IR35 paying £450 - £550 p/d and is an immediate start.Requirements:* Must have strong background using Scala, Python, Pyspark and particularly Azure Databricks* Good exposure to AWS* Excellent understanding of big data technologies (Kafka, Delta Lake etc)* Previous experience working in agile methodologyResponsibilities:* Implementing data solutions using modern technologies* Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop and implement* products by applying knowledge of design principles, procedures, and practices* Contributing to the scrum events* Developing and managing technical documentation to agreed standards* Contributing to Data Quality and Governance (e.g. Data Retention)* Supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and logging existing solutions
