Our client, a highly regarded London-based solicitors specialising in crime, family law and human rights have an opening for a Legal Aid Biller to join their criminal team.Responsibilities You will be working within a team of 8 responsible for the following: -Billing and submitting Legal Help (controlled work) files to the LAA.Preparing bills for Inquests.Organising the files to go out to the cost drafters following the workflow in proclaim and updating the spreadsheet accordingly on a daily basis. Sending approved bills for Service.Checking Bills of Costs.Drafting Schedules of Costs to strict deadlines.Preparing reports.Drafting CRM7s.Working closely with team members and assisting with any other tasks and ad hoc duties as well as providing cover when necessary.Candidate ProfilePrevious Legal Aid/Legal Help criminal billing experience gained within a law firm.Important NoticeIt is Career Legals policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days.
