A prestigious university based in central London is in need of a Course/Programme administrator to start asap for an initial 3 month periodThis role will be split between on-site and WFH 50/50 -Hrs/Wk:36.50The essence of the role:The role will specialise in administering all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of the designated programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with enquiries, applications, induction, module selections,student queries, marketing, assessments, student support, committees and events. The post will lead to achieving high-quality and timely service to current and prospective students, alumni, and staff relating to the designated programmes/modules and beyond.The post plays a key role in the development of the School of Management Teaching and Learning Support Team.Dutiies and Resposibilities:Develop, document and implement policies and procedures for all aspects of delivery of designated programmes.Set service levels and oversee arrangements for dealing with enquiries by telephone, email, letter and in person relating to entry requirements, progression, combination of courses etc., to include use of Freshdesk enquiry system.Organise the student induction week and assist students as they begin their studies, including advice on registration procedures and module selections.Manage student module selections on Portico (the Student Information System) and process amendments.Manage selection of elective/optional modules, including liaison with other departments.Work with the Teaching and Learning Manager/academic programme directors to support the timetabling process for all designated taught courses.Update and maintain module and programme Moodle sites.Coordinate the allocation of students to courses / programmes / tutorials / projects / placements etc., distribute lists and upload information to Portico/Moodle.Assist School Tutor with personal tutor allocations and monitoring meetings.Update and brief academic/teaching staff on student application procedures and module/programme procedures.Qualifications, experience, and knowledgeKnowledge of Higher Education administrative systems and processes.Knowledge of issues affecting students within the Higher Education sector.Educated to A level standard (including A-C in 2 subjects), or equivalent experiences such as report writing and interpreting dataEducated to degree standard, or equivalentAdministration in higher/further education or a teaching and learning environmentProgramme administration including dealing with student/customer enquiriesFamiliarity with Moodle or equivalent virtual learning environmentsOther Notes about the role:The role holder must share a willingness to work additional hours during peaks of workload, usually induction and examinations.
