Consultant in Neonatology with a Special Interest in Neonatal CardiologyCandidates are invited to apply for the above post in our Women’s Health, Neonatal Department within the Trust.The UCLH Neonatal unit is the designated Level 3 unit for the North Central London (NCL) Perinatal Network, and provides the full range of intensive care apart from neonatal surgery and cardiology, for which we have close links with Great Ormond Street Hospital. All babies of less than 27 weeks gestation born in NCL are cared for at UCLH, which has 17 neonatal intensive care cots and 15 special care cots. The NICU is housed in a brand new state of the art facility in the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson wing of UCLH.The successful candidate will join the existing strong team of neonatologists, with an international reputation in excellent care and research.The post holder will join a team consisting of eight full and part time NHS consultants and the professor of Neonatology and the clinician scientist.The successful candidate will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward academic development.All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving CCST/ CCT at the time of interview. NB: Non UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist Register by the date of interview.Essential qualifications for this post include MRCP/MRCPCH or equivalent.
