Job Description

Community Safety OfficerLocation: Atelier House, CamdenSalary: £32,000-£35,000 per annumHours: 35 hours, Monday- Friday mostly 9-5 but flexibility will be required.Are you highly motivated, organised and an excellent communicator with the skills, experience and drive to work within a dynamic and constantly evolving environment If so, we would like to hear from you.We are seeking an experienced Community Safety Officer to join our growing team in our new Camden based, head office. You will play an integral role, delivering an effective Anti-Social Behaviour service across the estates within your region.Key Accountabilites:

  • Acknowledging reports of ASB and resolving them within the time frame stipulated by One Housing’s policy and procedure.
  • Supporting and assisting Housing Officers with the investigation of ASB and ensuring early intervention. This will involve personally collecting evidence, preparing statements, and assist in implementing agreed action plans.
  • Instigating formal measures to resolve ASB (e.g. injunction) and attending and presenting cases at court as necessary, facilitating witnesses and risk assessing all parties.
  • Facilitating and attending multi-agency case conferences and problem-solving groups, coordinating action plans and reviews.

  • About you:
  • Previous experience of working as a ASB Officer, PCSO or Police Officer
  • You will be genuinely passionate and enthusiastic about this line of work
  • Evidence of preparing court documents such as injunctions and possession applications.
  • A good understanding of issues affecting social housing and residents of social housing
  • Understanding of managing cases of nuisance, harassment and anti-social behaviour
  • Sound knowledge of community safety legislation in particular the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014
  • Experience of court proceedings.
  • Excellent written communication skills for effective correspondence, written statements, report writing and statistical work
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including assertiveness, listening, negotiating and influencing skills
