Clinical Research Nurse – Band 6NIHR UCLH Clinical Research FacilitiesFull time - 37.5 hours per weekFixed term – External Funding (31st September 2021)Do you want to give exceptional care and be involved in providing state-of the art treatments to patients We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse to become part of the Research Nursing Team at the National Institute for Health Research UCLH Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility UCLH is a well-established Clinical Research Facility (CRF) covering two sites. The Leonard Wolfson Experimental Neurology Centre is a dedicated neuroscience experimental medicine facility at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) at Queen Square (QS); and the NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility is a comprehensive Cancer and Medical research facility on the Bloomsbury campus (BC) at Tottenham Court Road.The research nursing team in the CRFs provide exceptional specialist nursing care to a wide variety of patients taking part in early phase clinical trials of experimental cancer and medicine treatments. This includes First-in-Human medicines and experimental early phase treatments in oncology, hematology, medicine and neurology.We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and a keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in hematology or oncology and clinical research, and an interest in working across a range studies, including cancer, medicine and different specialities within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF).The post holder will be supported by senior nurses within the units, and the role is ideal for a highly motivated nurse who is keen to further develop their experience in early phase clinical research nursing. The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Research Nursing Team, Principal Investigators and research support staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with post- registration experience. Experience in cancer and chemotherapy are essential and for clinical research is desirable and full training will be given.
