These are what make us such a great team, working together as one to achieve our vision.The roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Clinical Governance Lead.The role will be based across our Baycroft care home portfolio, so regular travel around all the Baycroft sites across the South East and South Midlands region will be required. In partnership with the Operational Heads of Service your responsibilities willinclude:

  • Lead the Critical Care and Clinical sub group to share clinical best practice, provide an overview of accidents and incidents and drive forward positive change and compliance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the clinical critical care indicator analysis for the Quality and Risk Review Group.
  • Act as the Safeguarding Officer to support Clinical concerns across all Baycroft services.
  • Report on common trends as part of the wider board assurance framework and provide advice and support to Senior staff to embed lessons learnt and new ways to develop.
  • Support senior clinical staff to analyse clinical incidents and identify actions.
  • Ensure Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency notices are disseminated to all services and collate responses and adherence to the notices.
  • Support clinical supervisions with the General Managers and Clinical leads where direct line reporting is not undertaken by a Registered Nurse.
  • Lead on establishing new clinical training in partnership with the Clinical Skills Trainer.
  • Contribute to researching and developing CQC, nursing specific and healthcare policies and procedures.
  • In partnership with the Quality and Improvement Managers effectively monitor clinical activity and compliance across Baycroft schemes in accordance with One Housings agreed policies and procedures following CQC regulations and NICE guidelines.
  • Undertake regular clinical audits for Nursing services in line with Quality Assurance Systems.
  • Reporting to the Head of CQC Quality on business critical areas of quality and compliance.
What you will need to succeedWe are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will:
  • RGN qualified with registration.
  • Have a car and valid licence (expenses will be paid from your nearest Baycroft or One Housing service).
  • Proven experience in Leading Quality Assurance monitoring, training and mentorship within a care home, with a thorough understanding of CQC Regulation to achieve clinical excellence and negate reputational risk.
  • Well versed in creating reports, policies and proceedures.
  • Able to identify improvement measures with the ability to assist staff to deliver change.
  • Able to work as part of a team to develop solutions to complex problems, coming to reasoned decisions with comprehensive recommendations
