Job Description

  • Being one of the leading tertiary referral trusts in the country, coder skill sets are enhanced through exposure to cutting edge procedures and highly specialist areas within Neurosurgery, T&O, Urology, General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Cancer Services, Ophthalmology, Infectious & Tropical Diseases and more.
  • Intuitive coder specialty rotation structure
  • Monthly in-house specialty training workshops for the whole coding team
  • Fortnightly ring fenced coder study time
  • Monthly Audit, feedback and training cycles
  • Individual development plans /Support towards Auditor, Trainer, Management status
  • Monthly 1- 1 sessions and performance reviews with Team Leaders
  • Monthly Team Meetings with lunch provided.
  • Regular activity validation meetings between specialty lead clinician and coder
  • An effective coding admin team to help coders with histology report checking, data quality queries and case note provision.
