The services offered through Tes.com play a critical role in helping teachers and school leaders deal with the challenges of providing high quality education to millions of children across the globe.Role overview:The Business Improvement Director will be responsible for setting the vision for the Processes, Systems, and programme of Improvement for Tes. The role will lead the continuation of the process that has begun to improve the efficiency of Tes internal systems, including Finance, CRM and Subscription & User Management. Closely tied to this will be the ability to engage and lead virtual teams from across the business to ensure success is achieved. Reporting into the CTO, but working closely with the CEO, CPO and CFO, this role is integral to improving the user experience of Tes customers and internal business functions.Key role responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO to define the end to end vision of how Tes should operate
  • Analyse the current processes in place, to understand the high-level deficiencies that exist and prioritise the steps to improvement
  • Lead the Business Systems team to design and prioritise the end to end systems in support of the business strategy
  • Partner with cross functional teams and all levels of stakeholders to ensure that the business and continuous improvement projects are aligned and consistent with company priorities and overall business strategy.
  • Coach your teams to prioritise complex deliverables, understand and discuss the concepts, and chair business improvement meetings with business leaders
  • Work across the Senior Management Team to ensure engagement and support for the programme of continuous improvement
  • Lead the Business Change & Improvement team, to prioritise, develop and lead the programmes for change across Tes
  • Set and lead action plans to identify and drive deliverable improvements across the business
  • Lead and develop teams to build continuous improvements programs
  • Provide a central point of excellence for challenging and identifying operational norms and bring a mindset of continuous improvement into the culture of the business
  • Education and experience requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in business change and transformation roles, with a minimum of 3 years at senior management level
  • Demonstratable Agile delivery experience. Preferably SAFe 5.0 Product Owner certified
  • Strategic and creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail
  • Extensive experience of leading a multi-functional team
  • Degree Educated, or equivalent
  • Confidence in managing multi-site remote teams
  • Knowledge of recurring revenue and subscription-based business models
  • Experience of taking businesses through customer migration processes
  • A sound understanding of Software (SaaS) products
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability
