Job Description

Hanover is looking for an enthusiastic Billing Manager to join the Group Finance team based in London. Role Overview: Hanover has grown 25% year on year for the past five years and has recently been acquired by leading communications group AVENIR GLOBAL.The Billing Manager will play a pivotal in an award-winning team, taking ownership of data input for revenue recognition. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role offers on the job training and is a great opportunity to develop prior billings experience in a professional services business.Hanover is one of the UK’s leading communications consultancies, we’re a fast-growing team of political and communications specialists with offices in London, Brussels, Dublin, and the Middle East. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support on revenue recognition for month end
  • Send out invoices & upload to portals
  • Take ownership of payment runs
  • Proactively ensure outstanding timesheets are completed from client and non-client facing teams
  • Follow up on accrued income and reporting any updates to the Finance Manager
  • Reallocate time and costs on the company wide accounting system
  • Own the data functions on the company wide accounting system:
  • Input missing rates
  • Manage new starters and leavers
  • Upload new job codes
  • Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in a junior accounting or billing role is essential
  • Prior experience using accounting systems is essential, experience using Maconomy is strongly desirable
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Well organised & strong time management skills
  • Medium to advanced IT skills (in particular Excel)
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Ability to work well in a close-knit team
