Job Description

Whittington Health Trust are looking for enthusiastic full time bank radiographers to join our professional and friendly team. This is a great opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ with a strong likelihood of permanent employment for exceptional candidates in 2020. Our patient experience feedback is overwhelmingly positive and this is because of the cohesion and team spirit of the department.The Hospital site has 2 back to back MRI scanners, 2 CT scanners, 7 digital x-ray rooms, 3 new DR mobiles, a brand new SPECT CT scanner, DEXA scanner, fluoroscopy and interventional fluoroscopy suite sited in theatre as well as several US rooms. Over 200,000 exams will be performed this year and a large scale equipment replacement programme due to finish this this year has seen installation of all new Samsung DR x-ray rooms, a new CT scanner, mammography unit and fluoroscopy machine as well as replacement of our US units.The hospital site is well served by transport links being next to Archway tube station and a 10 min walk from Upper Holloway Overground dtation as well as being served by multiple bus routesRecent changes mean that Advanced Practice is now supported within Imaging as part of the 5 Year forward view and working pattern changes are now embedded in order to further promote Advanced Practice and enhance the quality aspect of the service.Any appointee will be expected to contribute to idea generation and the promotion of collaborative working across professional groups and inter-departmentally.Participation in an AfC compliant rota will be expected with extended days forming part of the working pattern.Essential requirements are:

  • HCPC Registration
  • 6 months NHS experience in a similar role
