Job Description

One of the hottest and most exciting FinTech start-ups in London is seeking a Back-End Developer to join their team.Our client’s development team pushes the boundaries of what is possible in a financial services company by creating revolutionary and transformative products that boosts the financial and personal wellbeing of those that need it most.The primary responsibility of this role is to build out scalable and efficient backend services to support a company that is going to experience significant growth. But it also involves driving roadmaps, inputting on business strategy, getting to know customers, making actionable and autonomous decisions - and having real responsibility.Are you a Backend Developer who has experience with Typescript Do you have a passion for FinTech If so, please read on!What tech skills do you need

  • Must be a real hands-on expert with TypeScript (at least 2-3 years of experience)
  • You can count Node , Docker and MongoDB among your expert skill set
  • Have an understanding of microservices and the technical challenges involved
  • You know the difference between merging and rebasing
  • Appreciate the difference between unit testing and integration testing
    • Bonus tech skills:
  • We realise not everyone will have all the skills we want so any experience working with NativeScript, ReactNative or iOS / Android would really count in your favour
  • Any experience deploying with Kubernetes would be welcome too
    • What mindset do you need
  • Passionate about technology, building products, and user experience
  • Ability to work independently and plan your own solutions to problems but know when to ask for help
  • You are happy in a fast-moving, growing company doing diverse tasks and context switching
  • You value good engineering principles, have a healthy curiosity and an inherently positive outlook
  • Are careful about the quality of the code your team produces and you take pride in getting it right
