Job Description

Do you live in a 40 minute commute to the iconic UCL institute which is one of many prestigious key accounts on this London territoryAre you a recent life sciences graduate with either commercial B2B or laboratory experience with the hunger to succeed in a scientific sales role with uncapped commission & progression opportunitiesDo you want to work for an International multi award-winning premium class manufacturer of Laboratory Consumables & Liquid Handling Technology that has achieved year on year growthIf you answered YES to the above then this role could be perfect for you!The requirements of the Account Manager - Life Science Laboratory Consumables:

  • Educated to University degree level (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a Life Sciences subject with a Biological focus such as Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Immunology, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Preferably you will already have 1 years of experience in either a field based or internal sales role covering the Central/North London region in the life sciences sector
  • You could also be a commercially minded & outgoing Scientist with the desire to utilise your experience of using laboratory consumable products such as pipettes in a life sciences Account Manager role
  • A full UK driving license is required with the ability to travel outside of territory when required
  • Good IT skills - this includes the MS Office family as well as CRM systems
The responsibilities of the Account Manager - Life Science Laboratory Consumables:
  • As the Account Manager you will be tasked with achieving annual sales targets and objectives for the Central London region which is one of the most lucrative territories in the whole of Europe
  • Manage and grow an existing sales base and develop new customer relationships
  • Arrange appointments, follow-up on quotes, samples, and leads
  • Strategically identify and conduct key account analysis, create, and develop plans to maintain existing business and gather intelligence for new opportunities
  • Meet with customers to present and demonstrate my clients Liquid Handling products and lead generation, initiate, and communicate proposals relevant to customer needs and use negotiation skills to achieve a successful sale
  • Create and maintain records within the internal CRM system to assist with customer contact traceability, initiating proposals and customer specific information
  • To present and contribute to internal and external meetings
  • Prepare information as needed for customer meetings and discussions with management
  • Respond to customer enquiries promptly, liaising with internal support to assist where necessary
