Job Title: Technical Coordinator (Supplier Assurance)Location: Fulbourn, CambridgeshireSalary: CompetitiveJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeWorking Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - FridayAbout the Company:S&B Herba Foods Ltd are food importers, processors and market leaders in supplying the Manufacturing, Wholesale, Ethnic and Retail Sectors. We are part of the Ebro Foods Group, the largest Rice Company and second largest Pasta Company in the world.About the Role:We are looking for a Technical Coordinator to coordinate all elements relating to Quality, Safety, Legality and Integrity of its Suppliers as well as providing a technical and quality assurance service to ensure the company adheres to prescribed qualityassurance standards, policies and procedures.As we are predominantly a Rice and Rice Flour supplier, knowledge of Rice would be desirable. The role will be very much supplier focussed with occasional travel expected to visit factories within the Group (mainly Europe) to carry out audits and risk assessments.The successful individual will also be responsible for coordinating and managing the sustainability of the business.This is a busy and demanding role, with customers wanting and needing more and more detailed technical information on our products and the supply chain. There will be communication with sister Companies within the Group as well as with Ebro Foods.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Food Safety documentation for supplier approval and monitoring are in place, including raw materials specifications.
• Implementing and maintaining S&Bs own raw material specifications for all incoming products and specifications of non-food products.
• Maintaining and ensuring all Approved Supplier databases are up to date.
• Implementation of a comprehensive purchasing procedure which aims to improve our supply chain.
• Ensure Supplier Risk Assessments are up to date.
• Ensuring all suppliers non conformities are addressed and effectively closed out.
• Maintaining the Traceability System of all products to ensure the relevant information is available in the event of a Product Recall.
• Carry out technical audits of warehouses or storage facilities, as and when required, to ensure quality and integrity of purchased goods.
• Assess the quality of raw materials to ensure they are consistently meeting S&Bs standards.
• Working with the wider team at both our Mills to assess yields and quality.
• Assessing Ethical and Sustainability Questionnaires to identify any possible issues affecting Suppliers
• Supporting the Technical Manager and the wider Technical Team.

About you:

• Educated to HND level or equivalent, preferably in Food Science/Technology
• Experience in Food Safety
• Practical knowledge of industry audit standards (ie BRC, AIB etc)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Experience and/or understanding of Rice / Flour Milling would be beneficial
• Proficiency in office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express.
