Job Description

Study ToxicologistSector - Drug DiscoveryLocation - CambridgeOur client is a Cambridgeshire based Drug Discovery company who specialise in the development of treatments for cancer, neurodegenerative and other diseases. An opportunity has become available for a Toxicologist to join the company on an initial 9 month contract and support with the management of outsourced toxicology and pharmacological studies.The role:As a Toxicologist you will be report to the Head of Toxicology and act as study monitor for the design, delivery and reporting on toxicology and pharmacology studies performed by contract research organisations (CRO). Working as the main point of contacts for CRO’s you will be responsible for:

  • Design of non-clinical study protocols
  • Communicate with internal teams to plan efficient study timelines
  • Schedule studies and ensure delivery to timelines
  • Manage and track studies and trouble-shoot issues
  • Review, finalise and deliver study report data
  • Suitable applicants will have:
  • Industry experience in the planning, analysis and reporting of pharmacological and toxicological (in vitro/in vivo) studies
  • Knowledge of global regulatory guidelines (ICH/GLP/OECD)
  • Ideally educated to MSc or BSC in a toxicology or related discipline
  • Proven organisation skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
  • MSc, PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant biochemical discipline
  • Strong communication skills and IT literacy
  • The Package:In return, my client offers the opportunity to work within an exciting area of drug discovery for an initial 9 month contract. Salary package will be competitive and dependent on experience.
