With a history of excellence stretching back more than 130 years, the organisations success is driven by about 105,000 talented employees in over 100 countriesDescriptionMain Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:- Design develop and test electronics to meet required specifications and ensure compliance to internal and external standards- Design and develop of embedded software including final validation.- Provide maintenance of existing products, implementing design changes in accordance with company procedures- Support strategic technology direction through own work and by proposing innovative technology development, application and solutions. Maintain awareness of state-of-art technology and market trends affecting company products and services and recommend appropriateactions in response.- Apply a variety of accepted technology concepts as well as having the resourcefulness to apply new methodologies and technologies to projects and problems. Implement creative ideas based on customer needs.- Provide information to allow creation of target specifications and accurate project plans.- Serve as a consultant to management regarding projects, initiatives and technical investigations, advise on their potential application and the resolution of complex problems.- Adhering to corporate values and standards including health and safety, ethics and integrityProfileRequirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Essential- Good degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or other relevant technical discipline- Experience with analog and digital electronic hardware design- Knowledge of embedded software development (C)- Experience with designing for EMC and safety standardsDesirable- Experience with designing for hazardous area use (e.g. Intrinsic safety)- Experience with front end measurement design- Experience with pcb layout design- Experience with designing industrial instrumentation- Experience with industrial communications protocols e.g. HART, Profibus, Modbus- Experience with Ethernet, Bluetooth communicationsJob Offer
