My client based in Wimblington is currently looking for an experienced QA Manager. You will be working with a plastic recycling business and joining an organisation that works with a wide range of industries and applications.Hours of workMon-Fri - 9am to 5pmSalaryUp to £30k depending on experienceMain Dutieso Develop and manage the Quality functiono Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management system o Manage and maintain an internal audit programme, will have hosted audits, and carry out internal and supplier auditso Develop and maintain Quality metrics and KPIs, to monitor effectiveness of systems / processeso Manage customer complaint processes, ensuring timely, effective root cause analysis and implementation of agreed corrective and preventative actions leading to customer satisfactiono Manage internal non-conformance processes, working with all departments to reduce the cost of poor qualityo Day to day management of the quality inspection and laboratory team (24/7 operation)o Continual development of culture and working practises leading to robust quality systems, procedures and practiceso Liaison with raw materials suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet the specifications and quality standards required by the businesso Ensure the delivered product is achieving the customers specification and quality standardSkills and Experience* Experience in quality management systems within a processing/ manufacturing production environment * Polymer and/or recycling experience/ knowledge (desirable)* ISO 9001 experience* Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills (8D, 5 whys)* Experience in Continuous improvement/Six Sigma/ Lean improvement methodology* Proactive with a pragmatic approach to work and problem solving* Good communication skills across departments and with customers written and oral* Project/time management skills and the ability to work under pressure* Experience using MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint etcQualifications* Prior experience in Quality Management/Quality System (essential)* HND/ Degree level qualification in an Engineering / Processing / Laboratory related discipline.
