Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of analytical services to customers across multiple industries including pharmaceutical, food, environmental and cosmetic. With laboratories spanning across the globe, an exciting role has arisen in Cambridgeshire to contributetowards the success of their Environmental Testing division!As an Organic Laboratory Department Head, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and overseeing a talented team in a busy environmental testing lab
  • Troubleshooting and managing preventative maintenance of lab equipment
  • Providing technical guidance to analysts as required
  • Working collaboratively across teams to improve processes
  • Liaising with clients on technical matters
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Extensive relevant work experience in analytical chemistry - environmental chemistry is highly desirable!
  • Strong understanding of environmental testing equipment e.g Gas Chromatography
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leaderships skills
  • Line management experience
