Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased)Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire Commutable from Peterborough, Stamford, Corby, Huntingdon, Market Deeping, Bourne, Oakham£28,000 + Overtime Monday - Friday Days Our client is a leading manufacturer, supplying into building products suppliers, national house builders and the construction industry. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer that is mechanically biased to join their close-knit team.Role & Responsibilities:*Responsible for breakdowns and planned maintenance of heavy plant machinery & equipment *Working at both the manufacturing site and respond to breakdowns on plant machinery at the companies quarries in the local area*Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair *The role is 60% working outdoors and 40% working indoors*Working on industrial heavy plant machinery, automated saws/cutters, CNC machinery, conveyors, rollers, palletisers, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives, compressors*PLC - electrical fault finding *Electrical safety isolation *Servicing and regular PPM schedules on all equipment *Supervising and supporting an apprentice who is a part of the team day-to-day Knowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (60/40 mechanically biased)*Need to have 16th edition electrical as a minimum due to site electrical safety purposes*If have 17th or 18th edition electrical beneficial*Need to be a time-served, experienced engineer*Heavy industry experience - working with plant machinery is essential*Good working knowledge of PLC fault finding*Flexible to working extra hours to get the job done and overtime*Able to communicate clearly and effectively *Happy with working outdoors in a dirty environment *Have solid mechanical engineering qualifications *Exposure to working in manufacturing and use to reactive environment Shifts & Benefits Package:*Hours:- Monday - Friday Days (7:30am - 4.30pm *Salary:-£28,000 + Lots Of Overtime Available *Benefits:- Government Pension, 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Staff Social Events Job Reference No: SE17796 / 534Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling our Managing Consultant for this vacancy - Chris Gumm on or by sending your CV directly to him at We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
