Mammographer - CambridgeshireConsult Search & Selection are proud to be partnered with a highly innovative, first-rate provider of private care in their search for an experienced Mammographer to work within their Cambridge team. The ideal candidate will have a few years’ experience in Mammography (minimum) and will have an empathetic and holistic approach to patient care.If you’re currently a Diagnostic Radiographer looking to progress into a full time Mammography role, then it is essential for the role that you have exposure to X-Ray & Mammography.Purpose of role:· To run the diagnostic imaging service at the treatment centre (under remote guidance from lead diagnostic radiographer)· You will work as a team in all aspects of diagnostic imaging thus supporting all patients receiving care· You will also support the Radiotherapy/Chemotherapy/Out-Patients Leads to ensure a seamless treatment journey where diagnostic imaging and planning to integrate with relevant patient pathways· Liaising with radiologists to ensure compliance to clinical radiology protocols and manage radiology work streams with a complete end-to-end processResponsibilities:· The running of the department on a day-to-day basis· Following all duties and standards of proficiency as a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance and ethics)Required skills:· DCR or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent) HCPC registration· A very good level of understanding of the legislation relating to ionising radiation/radiation protection and health and safety· Experience in UK radiography & Mammography· Experience of evolving mammography techniques· Evidence of continuing professional developmentTo find out more about this and other similar opportunities, please contact Lauren Wilkinson at Consult Search & Selection in the first instance for a confidential, informal conversation.
