We are currently looking for a Innovation Associate for Data Analytics & Bioinformatics to join a global Life Sciences company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Innovation Associate for Data Analytics & Bioinformatics you will work with stakeholdersand leverage external networks to search, identify and evaluate opportunities and implement mechanisms to access these technologies. You will be responsible for identifying next generation technologies in Biologics Expression Systems, Microbial Biomanufacturing,mRNA and Cell & Gene Therapies. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Innovation Associate - Data Analytics & Bioinformatics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Develop investment strategy for the Biologics department with a focus on adjacent growth. 2. Drive end-to-end process of deal screening, performing technical & financial due diligence, negotiate commercial terms and present deals at innovation board meetings. 3. Work with internal stakeholders in various centres of excellence (expression systems, mRNA, Bioconjugates, cell & gene, ect) and other platforms to drive innovations. 4. Perform landscape assessment on market, competition and technology trends and prioritize on which opportunities will bring new markets and/or sustain a strategic growth in existing markets. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Innovation Associate - Data Analytics & Bioinformatics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, mRNA or Biochemistry) or extensive experience working within the Biotech industry. 2. Several years of working experience in Venture Capital, Venture Building with a focus on Healthcare, ideally Biotech/Medtech. 3. Several years experience in Technology Transfer or Translational Research in top tier academic institutions in UK, Europe or USA.
