Infrastructure Engineer - PermanentSalary: £55,000 - £60,000Location: CambridgeshireAs a Consultant, you will work closely with technical consultants and other colleagues across the organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and troubleshooting solutions for our customers; with a focus on networkingtechnologies.You will have a strong background in core Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Azure, Active Directory and Intune. Experience of complimentary solutions such as products from Sophos, VMware and Dell.Solutions can be delivered onsite, remote or a combination of both. The work is diverse and challenging; no two days are the same.Key Accountabilities* Troubleshoot issues, deploy equipment, and assist other team members with project tasks either remotely or on a customers site

• Implement infrastructure elements of a solution, including authentication, user access, email, collaboration and security
• Work with project management to plan and execute project tasks in an efficient manner with clear communication
• Implement Microsoft Cloud based solutions for customers, including Office 365 and Intune/Endpoint Manager
• Migrate/build customer systems in/to Azure; including re-configuring or re-designing elements where required
• Assist engineering with developing methods to deploy devices for customer projects; using automation, documentation and knowledge transfer
• Act as a point of escalation for technical queries from other teams within the business
• Work with network engineering to provide systems level expertise on network related elements of work or issues
• Scope and complete work packages for opportunities
• Maintain technical documentation
• Attend customer meetings as required
• Undertake training and certification in key technical areas

Essential Criteria

• Strong and proven technical background; troubleshooting problems and working on solutions to complex problems
• Strong communicator; able to engage with technical and non-technical personnel effectively. Keeping all parties up to date without being requested to
• Experience of working closely with project management to deliver a technical solution
• Understanding of basic networking technologies; VLANs, switching, routing, DNS and DHCP
• Experience of migrating customers to Office 365, including configuring hybrid connectivity and single sign on
• Ability to troubleshoot Active Directory issues; including replication, time synchronisation and FSMO roles
• Proven ability to work with Esxi and/or Hyper-V for highly available platforms; including iSCSI storage, VLANs and clustering
• In-depth knowledge on customising user environments; Group Policy, file data migrations, OneDrive integration
• Experience of working in an environment that utilises strict change control procedures
• Proven ability to follow a design and perform quality assurance against the design * Excellent attention to detail and quality

Desirable Criteria

• Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Certified
• Wireless technologies experience - Meraki, Cisco, Aruba/HPe, Ubiquiti
• Experience of networking with public cloud providers, such as Azure
• Sophos XG Firewall experience
• Experience of Microsoft NPS deployments & troubleshooting
• Experience of migrating users between Office 365 tenants
