Job Description

The role will lead and drive HSE activity, supporting the sites management to implement the necessary HSE activities and actions to ensure they are legally compliant. The successful candidate will be highly engaging with a people centred approach. Someonewith a real passion for HSE and the ability to drive a safety first culture across the site by collaborating with the teams.Client DetailsThe client are a highly reputable FTSE 100 business, experiencing substantial growth throughout the UK. Safety is the top priority on their agenda, they operate a safety first culture.DescriptionThe role will:

  • Manage and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental function of the site.
  • Ensure the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures are in place to meet legislative requirements, customers requirements, and the standards established by formal management systems (e.g. ISO 14001/ISO 50001/ISO 45001).
  • Support all levels of stakeholders and will coach, advise and drive a safety improvement culture.
  • Support the sites strategic outlook, working closely with the site leadership to develop annual HSE Plans with monthly objectives and targets.
  • Be the management representative for HSE management systems as well as the point of contact for external stakeholders such as regulators and insurers.
  • Help define strategy, policies and processes across the business to help drive the HSE goals and agenda.
ProfileApplicants should be:
  • Experienced in delivering a Health & Safety culture across a large and fast paced business.
  • Comfortable communication at all levels an possess excellent persuasion skills
  • Natural Leaders with the ability to drive change in challenging environment
  • Knowledgeable on ISO standards, eg: 14001 / ISO 5001 / ISO 45001
  • Comfortable and experienced in providing hands on training.
  • Possessing excellent presentation skills and strong numerical & verbal skills
  • Fully IT literate.
  • Willing to travel to other sites if required.
