Our client is currently looking for new talent to join its team in Cambridgeshire. A brand new role, we are currently looking for a Buyer Manager to join the Commercial team. Reporting to the Senior Buying Manager, you will develop and deliver a procurement plan that delivers the required margin, quality and availability of product to specific retail accounts and customers. Overall, we are looking for a strong team player with apositive can do attitude who is happy to get stuck in where required and has the ability to drive efficiencies between suppliers and internal teams. What is offered: Salary circa £50,000 - £60,000 + attractive package of car allowance/bonus/HC/pension Whats required: * Strong Procurement and supplier relation experience * Negotiation and persuasion skills * A pragmatic approach that puts the customer at the heart of everything* Wide experience of managing data in Excel and on MRP software * Excellent numerical, planning, and organisational skills and a proven track record in meeting targets and working under pressure * CIPS qualification or equivalent (desirable) * Can work effectively in a team or confidently alone * The ability to work in an extremely fast paced and dynamic growth business This role will be very challenging but also very rewarding and satisfying.
