Job Description

Reporting into the Lead Analyst within the PMO team, this role forms part of a small team with a main objective of the role supporting the project pipeline and setting projects up for success via business case creation. The successful candidate will be workingwith sponsors to form proposals for portfolio review and be able to outline requirements are technically, operationally and economically viable.The range of this role is diverse; covering all areas of the business from marketing to logistics, managing the change request queue with key stakeholders, whilst also working on projects using Agile & Waterfall methodologies, including the implementationof internal and 3rd party technical solutions.This chosen candidate will be instrumental in helping implement continuous improvement of BA competency and understanding of BA practices as part of the PMO team goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Head of PMO to review the project pipeline
  • Working with sponsors to deliver lean business cases that will go to the portfolio review for approval
  • Help to build and educate business around roadmaps, prioritisation and manage expectation
  • Ability to challenge current practice and provide possible solution options for consideration
  • Support in the delivery of its change management by working closely with internal customers to identify, record and track requirements, including identifying and resolving any conflicts between them.
  • Identify and analyse where the business requires system improvement, document and outline challenges, their impacts and the benefits of initiating a change in system/process.
  • Be instrumental in helping to deliver projects by maintaining BA practices within the Software Development and/or project lifecycle.
  • Be a change advocate, assisting the business users along the change request journey whilst managing expectations.
  • Defining and documenting business solution designs that incorporate the to be business processes to support business readiness and delivery.
  • Supporting in its agile journey by identify potential improvements that introduce lean practices and support in educating the business in achieving its goal of creating product owners with recommendations for their roadmap.
  • Work closely with the testing team to ensure testing of requirements is rapid and effective.
Education and ExperienceEssential
  • 5+ years proven BA experience across a variety of departments/teams g. Call Centre, Logistics, Marketing, IT, HR etc.
  • Proven experience in business case creation/validating business need, requirements feasibility to determine technically, operationally and economically viable
  • Experience of Project initiation and/or discovery and the successful handover from initiation/discovery to start-up
  • Demonstrable experience of Waterfall, Agile, Kanban and Scrum, happy to take the lead in the BA space as well as educate others
  • Solid experience of working in dynamic environments and documenting/analysing business processes, gaps and risks.
  • Experience of managing a change request process
  • Proven experience of engaging a wide range of internal customers, including Executive level
  • Experience in change process management
  • Proven experience in identifying opportunities/areas for improvement and creating artifacts for these to be captured
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse business processes and work flows
  • Experience of working with offshore development teams
  • Experience in software tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Lucid Charts or Visio & Axure
