Job Profile for Architectural Designer/ Technician - IH211378We have recently had the pleasure of coming into contact with this local Architectural Company who specialise within Renovation and Interiors. As a 20-year-old establishment, they specialise on projects in the Residential sector, involving Listed Buildings,Joinery, Planning, Extensions, Interior Renovations and Fine Art. Their office, based in stunning St Ives, Cambridgeshire, is where the successful candidate would be working with their friendly team.The ideal Architectural Designer/ Technician should have excellent technical ability and knowledge, ideally with ArchiCAD. Our client work across numerous sectors producing work of a contemporary nature, sustainability is also integrated in to the designprocess of many of their projects. The planning of our clients projects is given huge consideration in order to produce high quality results. This contemporary studio are not just limited to the Residential sector, they also delve into bespoke commercialand retail projects.This is a unique, exciting opportunity for an Architectural Designer/ Technician, who is seeking a new challenge in the Cambridgeshire area.Architectural Designer/ Technician Position Overview

  • Reporting to the Managing Director and working in a close team office environment
  • Communication and meeting with clients, planning authorities and building control, suppliers, subcontractors, site managers and fabricators.
  • Supporting the construction team, which will include liaison with site managers.
  • Working in a considerate manor when making decisions
  • Carrying out measured surveys and creating the existing and proposed designs from the outset in 3D
  • Work in-depth through the planning process
Architectural Designer/ Technician Position Requirements
  • High proficiency with CAD software (ideally ArchiCAD)
  • Strong technical Ability
  • Confident client facing
  • Passion for sustainability and bringing a new lease of life to listed buildings
  • Within a close location of their offices
  • Working through RIBA stages 0-7
  • Motivated to drive projects forward and manage multiple at once
  • Full Clean UK Drivers License
Architectural Designer/ Technician Position Remuneration
  • Competitive Salary (£30,000 - £45,000)
