Job Description

We commit to those areas where we believe we can really change the course of medicine and bring big new insights to life!As a Veeva Clinical Vault Platform (VCV Platform) Lead Business Analysts you will be a key member of the VCV Platform IT DevOps team. In the role responsibilities will include E2E Platform level business analysis and requirement gathering whilst adopting Agile Ways of Working using Scrum/Kanban Methodology.Collaborating with the Platform Lead, Product Owners, Functional SMEs/Process Owners, Senior Platform Engineers, DevOps Leads, Release Engineers, and Solution/Integration Architects within AZ to establish best practices for software development and engineering, business analysis, solution designs, enterprise software integration and project management within VCV. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Working with the Team Lead and Product Owner on Business cases, business requirement analysis, planning and requirement facilitation sessions for Strategic multi-functional Initiatives working with Domain SMEs, Domain BA and Process Owners. Identifying & prioritising product roadmap activities with distributed partners within the Veeva Clinical Vault Platform team. Responsible for facilitating story mapping, requirement gatherings, process mapping working sessions and user persona workshops with the Scrum teams.Supporting analysing legacy data; analysed legacy and new data models; design data mapping from legacy system to new system; migrated legacy data into new system. Responsible to ensure alignment with other scrum BA on overall scope of the given release and E2E requirement across the solution both in Functional and Integration landscape of the Platform.

  • Build and write user stories, scenarios, acceptance criteria and processes using JIRA in a Behaviour Driven and Test-Driven Development and ensuring that the stories are written using INVEST principles.
  • Craft the data flow based on User Personas, Story Journey Maps for upstream and downstream interfaces and redesign business processes to match the new functionality and data flow enlighten the User Experience.
  • Support the Platform test workstream to define the UAT/regression testing scenarios and the components of testing to ensure traceability of requirements and efficiency of overall solution.
  • Provide training and demo to internal and external partners on new feature functionality and mentor team other members working as Agile Scrum BAs in the Platform team.
  • Essential Skills Required:
  • Extensive experience with Veeva Clinical Vault and/or in Clinical Operations Systems
  • A proven understanding of GxP Agile (SCRUM) methodology and Business Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc, including diction/terminology and communicating information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediums.
  • Moderate facilitation skills; ability to facilitate workshops with all staff levels.
  • Validated understanding of JIRA and other tools such as Visio, Miro, Trello, etc.
  • Broad understanding of software development methodologies and requirement gathering working in Pharma Industry primarily in Clinical Domain.
  • Exposure to User Centred Design and Design thinking (User Experience, Prototyping, User Interface Design and Business Process Design).
  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent degree is helpful but not required.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (i.e.IIBA BABOK) or Similar.
