Job Description

Test Engineer / Software Test Engineer / Opensource / NodeJS / JavaScript / React JS / React Native / PHP / HTML5 / jQuery / CSS / SASS / Python / Web Design / Continuous Integration / Automation Testing /Permanent / Oxford / Cambridge / RemotePermanentOxfordshire or Cambridgeshire (Remote Working to 50% available)£35,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience) Excellent BenefitsI am working with a leading and extremely well funded organisation who are making great inroads into medical science and genetic research through medical testing and track and trace style applications. They have sites in Oxford and Cambridge and cover global medical research programs. They are looking to employ a number of Test Engineer (Opensource).

  • Test Engineer Specification:You will have experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks in Continuous Integration pipelines.
  • You will demonstrate the ability to assist in writing high quality requirements.
  • You will work closely with developers and software engineers to discover and resolve defects and suggest quality improvements.
  • You will have experience evaluating the most appropriate way to test complex systems.
  • You will act as a champion of quality within the team to influence behaviours and practices.
  • You will continually refine and improve software testing process.
  • Ensure all software has been tested according to the quality management system (QMS). You will be developing existing test automation frameworks and building new ones from scratch.
  • Agile development environments, pairing and working in a collaborative team.
  • Testing tools and methodologies.
  • You will have at least 2 programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to describe complex ideas to an audience with a range of technical backgrounds and strong relationships with developers and a range of other stakeholders.
  • Modern infrastructure technologies such as Cloud Computing and Docker.
