You will be based at our Science Park Cambridge office and initially work from home, within the UK, in line with guidance.We have an exceptional diversity of audiences - from RSC employees across the world, teachers, scientists and academics, librarians and corporates to politicians and the public. Our work includes activities focused on our role as a support service to UK and international staff, a data source (e.g. for developers consuming data via APIs), a professional body (e.g. supporting members), a publisher (e.g. selling journals, books and databases), and an education resource (e.g. providing content to teachers, students and professionals). Our technology services underpin the operations of all staff members and of our websites and services.As a Test Engineer for the Royal Society of Chemistry, you will work within our DevOps team (which also includes software developers, solutions/software architects, site reliability engineers, database administrators and an Agile coach) and you will develop and support a variety of test automation solutions. You will also be responsible for testing our software products, contributing to the continual improvement of RSC platforms.About you:Essential:• Practical experience around automated QA testing and able to understand and enhance automation processes and procedures.• Technically proficient with C# and in writing, debugging and fixing automated test scripts, preferably using Selenium.• Experience of working in fast paced Agile/DevOps environments, familiar with Scrum/Kanban and software management tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).• Understanding of user needs, user stories, and a business outcome approach to work, along with being a strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.• A professional attitude, and able to build and maintain relationships with our customers and demonstrate customer focused behaviour at all times.Desirable:• Experience in exploratory testing.• Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines.• Experience working in AWS or other public cloud environment.• Certified in Agile software testing (e.g. ISTQB Agile foundation).If interested, please apply before the end of the advertised closing date.You may have experience of the following: QA Engineer, Test Engineer, IT, Engineer, Engineering, Development, Tester, Quality Assurance, Test Automation, Automated Testing, Test Automation, etc.Ref: 97821
