Job Description

Tax Assistant - Leading Regional PracticeCambridgeUp to £25,000 (DOE)Are you looking to build a long and rewarding career in tax Would you like to join a firm that are renowned for their training and professional developmentAs one of the leading regional firms in Cambridgeshire, our client can offer you this and much more.You will be joining the private client tax team, working with a wide range of clients including high net worth and ultra-high net worth individual, alongside trustees and directors, and also assisting on corporate tax matters if youd like to get involvedin all aspects of tax.What will your role entail

  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and computations by entering source information provided by clients, including preparing rental income accounts and other associated tasks.
  • Drafting Capital Gains Tax computations for senior review.
  • Preparing other HMRC forms for senior review, including tax elections, and amending PAYE tax codes.
  • Liaise with HMRC and other professionals regarding client affairs.
  • Ensure that professional ethical procedures are adhered to.
  • Manage and update the in-house database for client details.
What experience will you have
  • Have completed at least one tax season in practice
  • Experience of working with an external client base.
  • Experience of assisting in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Intermediate excel spread sheet skills.
  • Experience of accounting software packages and similar programmes
