The Systems and Network Administrator will contribute to technology roadmaps, lead on projects to enhance our compute environment and provide break/fix & refinements to existing IT systems. The role requires the application of a wide range of systems andnetworking skills, knowledge & experience, to ensure critical IT services continue to operate at expected levels and are appropriately scaled to meet demand alongside a strong knowledge on Linux (Ubuntu) Administration / management.The role holder should strengthen current IT practices, maintain a culture of sharing and be keen to develop new technical skills. An understanding of emerging technologies and approaches will be essential to enhance the department and deliver value.The role requires a significant understanding of both computer and network security, exposure to network technologies is essential for the role holder to be successful.
