Delighted to be working in partnership with a business with a great brand, proposition, and products; to recruit for a Senior Solutions Architect.As a Senior Solution Architect, you will partner with the business to support customers across many industries, especially within the scientific sector. You will understand the customers needs and define solutions based on the business offerings.Key Deliverables: * Understanding customer needs and defining, scoping, estimating, and proposing technical solutions for individual customers.* Work with a team of consultants and project managers for the implementation and rollout of the product solutions to the businesss customers.* Ensure that our solutions architecture aligns with the businesss roadmaps and the wider business strategy and that our solutions adhere to the enterprise architecture principles.* Be the trusted advisor for the customer.* Engage in strategic discussions with various customer stakeholders such as enterprise architects, business representatives, end users.* Understand and refine customers critical business issues and to be able to define and implement solutions* Setting the direction of the project team to make sure that the configured solution is in line with customer functional and non-functional requirements, processes, and expectations.* Ensure that projects are successful within the predefined architecture and implementation scope and support the project team to deliver on time, budget and with the highest quality.* Take ownership of the solution and be responsible within the implementation team.The right Candidate: * Ideally you will have commercial experience with Chemical, Biological and Laboratory Informatics tools and solutions such as ELN, LIMS, Registration, SDMS, CDS, Inventory, etc. used in a commercial setting.* Customer facing skills and professional experience of delivering formal architectural, technical and software presentations and demonstrations to scientific and technical audiences. * Experience in the creation of a solution architecture and system integration.* Experience working with programming technologies; .NET, Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and also standards and formats such as AJAX and JSON or frameworks such as JQuery, NodeJS or Angular.* Experience in application integration technologies such as Web Services, Web Applications, Service Oriented Architectures, XML, JAVA, JMS, C/C++ or C#, Web and Database Servers, REST and data pipelining solutions.* Experience using web services or APIs to read and write data and handle responses from integrated 3rd party systems in a robust and fault tolerant way.* Experience working with databases, either relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL or noSQL databases.* Experience with cloud implementations.* An understanding of data management and data transformation challenges.* Passion for learning.* An aptitude for transforming complex customer requirements into solutions.* A team player with a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.* Highly self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a larger team.* Ideally you will have a B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biology, Pharmaceutical or related fields.Whilst this role is Cambridgeshire based, they are open to other UK locations.A fantastic opportunity for the right candidate - if this could be of interested, please apply.
