Start: ImmediateLocation: Cambridge, CB22Hours: 2 Days Office / 3 Days RemoteSalary: £70,000 to £90,000The Senior Software Engineer will be joining an agile cross-functional product team, working alongside a dedicated Product Manager, UX Designer, DevOps and QA, building fullstack solutions (including UI, services and DB) for an exciting product using the latesttechnologies, practices and processes.Our client is currently using the following technologies (but this is evolving all the time):* .NET 5 (.NET Core)* MySQL / DynamoDB* AWS - ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS* ReactJS / Redux / React Query / Webpack / Node / Express* Identity Server 5* ElasticsearchPersonal Attributes/Behaviours* >5 years professional software development experience* a flexible and positive attitude* willingness to take ownership of and pride in their work* ability to coach others and promote best practice amongst colleagues* good ability to work with others* a love of problem solving, lateral thinking and sharing solutionsEssential Skills & Experience* Expert C# or another OOP (or functional) language* Understanding of microservices and event driven architectures* Commercial experience build a modern web app and experience with JS libraries i.e. React / Angular etc* Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and design patterns* Experience building and consuming REST services (preferably in .NET)* Highly motivated to learn new skills and share them with the wider teamDesired Skills & ExperienceExperience using the following:* Cloud platforms - e.g. AWS, Azure* Entity Framework or another ORM framework* ElasticSearch* CSS or SCSS / LESS or similar* Identity Server and OIDC / OAuth 2.0* Responsive web design* Good code review / coaching skills* Good understanding in how to dissect work into meaningful user storiesIf you meet some of the requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.Benefits * Pension - When an employee has worked for the company for at least 3 months they will be enrolled into the Friends Life scheme* Annual Leave - 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday* Duvet day - In addition to your annual leave entitlement our client offers an extra day off as a duvet day.
