We are now looking for a Senior Research Scientist who will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.Key duties and responsibilitiesLab-based scientist, delivering expertise in mechanistic enzymology, while working in partnership with colleagues across AZ to characterise lead compounds and candidate drugs.Generate quantitative pre-clinical kinetic data to predict and understand compound (and novel drug modalities) efficacy and mechanism of action in the area of Epigenetics.Maintain awareness of current developments in the literature and contribute to continuous improvement of techniques and processes.Represent the department and achieve scientific visibility through project contributions and presentations at internal meetings, as well as external collaborations, conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.Essential RequirementsFormal training and proven expertise (PhD & some postdoc or industry experience) in mechanistic enzymology and kinetics.Strong external reputation in enzymology, in the context of epigenetic target characterization, through external presentations and publications in high-impact journals.Next Steps – Apply today!To be considered for these exciting opportunities, please complete the full application on our website at your earliest convenience – it is the only way that our Recruiter and Hiring Managers can know that you feel well qualified for this opportunity.
