Are you interested in joining a truly innovative biotech who are pioneering a new generation of cell therapies This company have developed a proprietary technology platform that can specifically direct cellular reprogramming and have hugely ambitious plansto make a step-change in the cell therapy market.Working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment, you will help to address the challenges associated with efficacy, safety and scalability in the development and manufacture of new cell therapies.They have raised incredible sums of funding so far, whilst establishing a team of truly exceptional talent and received recognition from industry peers for their innovation and potential to be transformative in the discovery and development of new therapies.Senior Scientist role:They are looking for a highly skilled and ambitious Senior/Principal Scientist to push the boundaries within cellular reprogramming and gene therapy.You will:

• Conduct high-level scientific research aimed at the development of novel therapeutic and non-therapeutic projects using their proprietary platform technologies.
• Work as a pivotal part of the R&D team, conducting complex scientific wet lab research independently, as well as part of a wider project group.
• Provide high-level scientific expertise for new and ongoing research projects, contributing to all phases of a project, from experimental design through to execution and reporting.
• Scope, plan and progress new project ideas, helping with the exploration of several proof-of-concept projects including in cell therapies, in vivo reprogramming and research tools.
• Collaboratively work with scientific and commercial teams to evaluate the feasibility and desirability of the new projects.
• Analyse and interpret experimental data from multiple cell conversion experiments, identifying problems and resolving technical issues.
• Act as a mentor to junior staff within the company.
• Provide technical training in specific techniques and technologies to the rest of the team.
• Seek new ways of working or improving current processes to increase capacity and/or enhance quality.

Senior Scientist profile:

• Molecular and cell biology Ph.D. with over two years of follow-on experience, or BSc/MSc with over 4 years of follow-on experience.
• Experience in handling and characterization of induced pluripotent stem cells, and experience in in vitro cell differentiation and reprogramming.
• Experience in genetic manipulation such as DNA editing, generation of complex constructs, and in vivo delivery systems is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge in advanced molecular and cell biology technologies is beneficial (i.e., single-cell sequencing and multi-colour flow cytometry)
• Independent thinking and willingness to propose new project ideas.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with defined timelines.
• Team player, self-motivated with positive thinking and a "can-do" attitude.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
